Moore Stephens Adelaide is committed to protecting the privacy of the information that you give to us and is bound by the Privacy Act 1988. This document explains how we use and disclose your personal information during the recruitment and selection process. Employee records are exempt from the provisions of the Privacy Act


The information collected

We may hold personal information about you including your name, date of birth, contact details, qualifications, work history, skills, resume, salary/benefit information, driver’s licence number and information about your hobbies. It could also include the opinions of others about your work performance, aptitude and psychological assessment results.


How we collect personal information

Moore Stephens Adelaide collects personal information during the recruitment and selection process in a number of ways, including:

directly from you, when you provide information in person,
    by telephone, electronically or in paper format;

from contacting the referees that you have nominated;

from recruitment agencies where you have registered for permanent
    and contract work and have provided permission for your details to
    be forwarded to us.
 

How we use your personal information

The personal information that we collect from you or your referees may be used when making recruitment and selection decisions. Moore Stephens will not discriminate against any job applicants, and bases its recruitment decisions on your qualifications, experience, past work performance and personal characteristics and the selection criteria for the position.
 

Will your personal information be given to anyone else?

We will disclose personal information about you to Moore Stephens team members involved in the recruitment process. We will not divulge your personal information to external parties without your written permission.
 

Security of your personal information

Your personal information may be stored in hardcopy or electronically. We will take all reasonable steps to protect and safeguard the personal information we collect, and have security procedures in place to protect your personal information. We will keep your information on file for three months, unless you specifically ask us not to. Your information will be confidentially destroyed.

We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information collected, used or disclosed is accurate and up-to-date.
 

You can access your personal information

You have a right to access your personal information, except where the firm is required or entitled by law to refuse access. If you would like to access your information, please let us know. For security reasons, you may be required to put your request in writing.

You may be charged a fee for searching for and providing access to your information.
